You're my boy, blue.After attending a yummy BBQ at the Fremont house Saturday afternoon, a group of us headed down to the Fremont Outdoor Cinema to catch the showing of OLD SCHOOL.
For the few who haven't seen this classic 'frat pack' movie, the plot is based around a group of 30 year old men who decide to start a fraternity at a nearby university, and then have to challenge administration to keep it up and running. Basically, it's the perfect movie to be shown outdoors, after dark, on a warm evening, with a crowd of 20 and 30 somthings who can quote the entire movie by heart. Everyone was into it, and we had a great time.
Sunday, Alex and I took advantage of the sunny, 75 degree weather, and hiked around Discovery Park. After our urban hike, we joined Andrew, Siena, and Nadia at Memorial Stadium to cheer on Kathy as she finished the 3 Day Breast Cancer walk. There were TONS of people there, and it was cool to be a part of such a great fundraiser. The participants raised $8 million for breast cancer research!!! WOWZA! Kathy walked 60 miles in three days. Participants walked 20 miles during the day, camped out at night, woke up and walked 20 more, camped, and the walked 20 MORE!!! Needless to say, there were a lot of inspiring women with sore feet.Cute pic of the Gorohoff clan after the finish!
