TGIF!

Maholla-

It has been a while since my last blog, a combination of my laziness and the fact that my office was being re-carpeted- thus limiting my face time with the comp. Anyway- THANK GOD it's Friday, what a long week! It was definitely a dragger.

Last weekend we celebrated Carla and Michelle's quarter century birthdays with a nice dinner at Lark (very good, I would recommend it). We ordered a bunch of small plates and passed them around the table, so we all got to try a lot of different foods. Yummy yum yum.

From there it was on to a night of dancing at Havana. Such fun, especially once we took over the upstairs loft and found the fan, can you say 'Top Model'! I think we girls spent a good hour posing with wind blown hair for the camera :)

Tonight we will be back out to celebrate Michelle's real birthday (well almost, a day early) at Kells down at Pike Place. I plan on perfecting my Irish jig in preparation for Francie and Bobby's big day!

PEACE OUT!

Happy New Year!

Maholla peeps- sorry its been so long since my last blog- egads!

Well, its 2008, can't hardly believe it. I feel so old- one more year and I'm looking at my 10 year high school reunion! ahhhhhhhhhhhh! Seriously- 2008! It seems like just yesterday we were freaking out over Y2K. Odd. Well, time flies I guess. Not really doing any major resolutions this year, I think I will just focus on getting my life finances in check, and hopefully make it over to see Madge in Cyprus!

New Years Eve was great! I am on a serious streak of good New Years Eve activities. So many people I talk to think its an overrated holiday, but my last 5 or so New Years have been awesome, and this one kept my streak going strong!
As part of my Christmas present, Alex got us tickets to go see Jersey Boys at the 5th Ave. SO GOOD PEOPLE! If you can go see this, GO! I can honestly say it was the best musical I have ever seen! Amazing. Amazing Amazing Amazing!

We arrived at the theater with about 20 min. to mill around before the show (Alex and I had made dinner, yummy barbecued Halibut with rosemary potatoes, salad, and a nice bottle of wine, yum), but when we made our way to our seats, there were already people in them! Yikes! Apparently they had sent Alex the wrong seats somehow, so we spent the first 5 min of the performance figuring it all out with the theater manager (who was very nice). Our seats were suppose to be on in the balcony, which has a perfectly fine view, but since our seats were occupied by a party of four, we got bumped down to the floor, and ended up sitting in the 7th row, center stage! Total upgrade! We lucked out big time, especially since it was a sold out show, I guess they always hold 2 house seats just in case something like that happened, very smart 5th Ave. I had such a great time, and have been singing "Big girls don't cry" in my head ever since!

After the show we headed over to Max and Anne's to ring in the New Year. Alex brought some Russian Champagne that was was a hit (tasted good, like sparkling juice), and Oggy was dressed in his party bow tie!

In an extreme blast from the past, Tom Robinson was there helping ring in the New Year. He traveled all the way from Colonial Williamsburg just for the occasion (well, that and Christmas with his family)! Good to see that old cat. He seems to be liking law school. Madge, I told him about your love for Colonial Williamsburg, and he said you can come visit anytime! He also says hi to Char and Francie, and Frank, I went ahead and invited him to the wedding . . . . .hope you're cool with that :)

All in all, a very good start to the New Year!
